Temperature & Shipping Conditions
Our objective is to ensure the ideal storage and delivery of your wine. To safeguard against temperature conditions that could compromise the quality, we advise shipping your wines outside the June-August timeframe within the EU/UK/US, as well as during periods of elevated local temperatures in your destination region.
Shipping and Packaging Options
Option 1
If you choose standard or express carrier shipment, the initial wooden case will need to be reconfigured. The bottles will be placed in either cardboard ($2 per bottle) or Styrofoam ($2.50 per bottle) protective material to ensure the safety of your wine during transportation. Please be aware that opting for standard or express shipping implies giving permission to open the case and remove any winery-specific seals that may be present. If desired, you can request to have the empty wooden case shipped along with your order, which will be treated as a separate shipment. The temperature experienced during shipping will be the same as the ambient conditions outside, so we recommend reviewing the "Temperature & Shipping Conditions" mentioned above.
Option 2
By opting for an upgrade, you have the opportunity to enhance the packaging of your shipment with a specialized styrofoam insulation solution. This solution enables us to keep the bottles securely within the original case. The foam not only provides protection against damage but also offers additional insulation against extreme temperatures. However, we strongly advise adhering to the guidelines mentioned in the "Temperature & Shipping Conditions" section above. It is important to note that selecting this option grants authorization to open the case and remove any winery-specific seals that may be present.
Option 3
Our carriers provide a convenient palletized shipping service that eliminates the need to open the case and ship the bottles separately from the original wooden case. Instead, the case is securely placed on a pallet, meticulously covered, and secured to prevent any movement. Our carriers handle the pallet with specialized equipment designed for safe pallet movement. Depending on the size of your shipment, we will utilize either a half or a full pallet to prepare your order. It's worth noting that this option incurs higher costs, which is why we recommend consolidating multiple wines or cases in a single order, such as 4 cases or more. As economies of scale come into play, the shipment cost per bottle decreases. The pallet will be delivered directly to your address, so please consider the space requirement and keep in mind that you will be responsible for disposing of the wooden pallet after delivery.
