About
Château Léoville Las Cases is a renowned winery in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux, France. This estate, part of the original Domaine de Léoville, dates back to the 17th century and has an illustrious history. The property was divided during the French Revolution, resulting in the creation of Château Léoville Las Cases from 3/5 of the original estate. The Delon family has managed the estate since the late 19th century, with Jean-Hubert Delon currently at the helm. The vineyard spans 55 hectares, primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, producing wines known for their complexity and terroir expression. The Grand Vin is aged in new French oak barrels for 18-20 months, resulting in a rich, full-bodied wine with vibrant black fruit and earthy hints. Château Léoville Las Cases is recognized as a "Super Second" with undeniable pedigree, offering a perfect blend of elegance and intensity.
